چکیده

There is growing interest in expanding quinoa (Chenopodium Willd.) cultivation; however, the main limitation its sensitivity to temperatures above 32-35 °C. Chenopodium berlandieri Moq., wild-weedy North American ancestor of quinoa, was employed as an exotic source drought, heat, and salinity tolerance enlarge genetic variation cultivated quinoa. The present work aims assess influence high on seed setting rate production potential two recombinant inbred lines (RILs), RIL2-4 RIL2-5. Thus, trials were carried out Morocco at Berrechid Tiflet 2017-2018 Bouchane, Meknès, El Kebab 2018-2019. field experiment design a randomized complete block with four replicates. Ten quantitative traits measured. ANOVA showed significant variability for all evaluated parameters. had widely different degrees among experimental sites, exceeding 120% while approaching 98% Bouchane. expressed lowest 11.26%. Pearson’s correlation matrix analysis positive between plant size maturity inflorescence length. An mixed model interactions (AMMI) revealed first interaction; principal component axis explained 53.3% total second described 46.7%. Four homogeneous groups emerged. have segregated evidenced by their variable rates grain DM yields.

Evaluation of drought tolerance in rice (Oryza sativa L.) cultivars and recombinant inbred lines

In order to study the adaptation of rice lines to drought stress and to identify the tolerant and sensitive lines, 150 pure lines in RIL population each derived from a cross between two Iranian rice varieties Gharib and Sepidroud were investigated. Augment design based on the randomized complete block design (RCBD) was used with 6 check cultivars and 4 replications in 2013-2014 growing season. ...

The Worldwide Potential for Quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa Willd.)

Quinoa is a highly nutritious food product, being cultivated for several thousands years in South America, with an outstanding protein quality and a high content of a range of vitamins and minerals. Other positive aspects of quinoa are the saponins found in the seed hull and the lack of gluten. Quinoa is one of the main food crops in the Andean mountains, but during recent times there has been ...

Distribution of minerals in quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa Willd.) seeds.

The distribution of minerals in quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa Willd.) seed was examined using energy dispersive X-ray microanalysis (EDX) in combination with scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Phosphorus, K, and Mg coincided in localization in embryonic tissue. Since phytin globoids have been known to localize in protein bodies in embryonic cells of quinoa seed, it is thought that P is attributed...

Quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa Willd.): composition, chemistry, nutritional, and functional properties.

Quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa Willd.), which is considered a pseudocereal or pseudograin, has been recognized as a complete food due to its protein quality. It has remarkable nutritional properties; not only from its protein content (15%) but also from its great amino acid balance. It is an important source of minerals and vitamins, and has also been found to contain compounds like polyphenols, ph...

The genomes of recombinant inbred lines.

Recombinant inbred lines (RILs) can serve as powerful tools for genetic mapping. Recently, members of the Complex Trait Consortium proposed the development of a large panel of eight-way RILs in the mouse, derived from eight genetically diverse parental strains. Such a panel would be a valuable community resource. The use of such eight-way RILs will require a detailed understanding of the relati...
